the
grinch letter
This letter came about as a result of my frustration
with the stress and expectation of the holidays. It was published in slightly
modified form in Hope Magazine
and was featured in two online newsletters.
It's
in PDF format, so you'll need a reader such as Adobe Acrobat. If you don't already
have it, you should. Click
here to download it for free.
Victims
of dial-up will need to click the Grinch Letter link and go get a sandwich or
something (3 to 8 minutes). Please be patient while it loads. You may not see
anything for quite some time, but rest assured--it's on it's way. I like to think
it's worth it.
Of course,
I also like to think I'm James Bond.
And
the Grinch, with his grinch-feet
ice-cold in the snow,
Stood puzzling
and puzzling:
"How could it be so?
It came without ribbons!
It came without tags!"
"It came without packages,
boxes or
bags!"
And he puzzled three hours,
`till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something
he hadn't before!
"Maybe
Christmas," he thought,
"doesn't come from a store. "
Maybe Christmas...perhaps
means a little bit more!"
